Meet Amy

I have struggled with the answer when asked, "What do you do?" and it isn't work-related. Ultimately, we settled on that I find things and untangle things. But I also read (a lot), pretend to wake surf, and watch Hallmark films.

The Weekend Away
it was amazing
So so good! Orla and Kate are long-time best friends off on a girls' weekend away. Kate is a bit of a player who is trying to get back at her soon-to-be-ex, causing her to spend frivolously and do drugs and hook-ups. Orla is a new mom ex...

Maybe Next Time
really liked it
Parts were a screaming 5 and parts were like “what?” And just irritated me. It is a Groundhog Day premise about a family of four - the mom is caught up in her own life and missing all that is going on around her with her kids and then he...

iPhone HDR photos

Here I am, in DC, during the Cherry Blossom Festival.  Here I am without my constant companion – my Nikon.  Luckily, my iPhone takes okay pictures.  Unfortunately, when using the “Pro HDR” app, you need to hold still better than I do and having no wind would help too.  But, in celebration of Wednesday and all of the great memes I am linking up to, I am posting them anyway.

If you are looking for a photo app that can add a bit of dimension to your photos, the “Pro HDR” app from eyeApps is very fun.

Participating in the following Wordless/Wordful Wednesday memes….  Parenting by Dummies, Seven Clown Circus, Better in Bulk, SuperMomA Beautiful Mess and Angry Julie.

Thanks for the HDR information. The iPhone 4 comes with an HDR function on the camera and you don’t even have to install an app. It works very well.

HDR photography is the way to go if you want stunning looking photos.

Thanks for coming by and commenting. I took some pictures with just the HDR standard feature but I loved the ones with the HDR Pro app. You are able to adjust the contrast, brightness etc but it is a lot slower than the standard feature.

Wow. You’re making me want to go to DC. Fortunately, I’m in luck…we may be there in June! 🙂

Wow, that’s impressive. The current iPhone camera isn’t bad at all, but those shots you’ve taken are impressive. I wouldn’t worry about not being still enough, i can’t see anything much wrong with them at all. This App sounds like it needs investigating…

    Thanks for posting this!

    Anthony.

I am so glad you posted this, because I was planning on asking you which app you used to make the HDR shots. Yay!

Truly the iPhone with the app. 🙂 Be sure to hold still while it takes 2 images at different exposures. Then it will take a minute or two while they merge and then you can mess around with the contrast, brightness etc. Pretty fun app.

  • I love the way the way the photos pop. 🙂
