Meet Amy

I have struggled with the answer when asked, "What do you do?" and it isn't work-related. Ultimately, we settled on that I find things and untangle things. But I also read (a lot), pretend to wake surf, and watch Hallmark films.

The Weekend Away
it was amazing
So so good! Orla and Kate are long-time best friends off on a girls' weekend away. Kate is a bit of a player who is trying to get back at her soon-to-be-ex, causing her to spend frivolously and do drugs and hook-ups. Orla is a new mom ex...

Maybe Next Time
really liked it
Parts were a screaming 5 and parts were like “what?” And just irritated me. It is a Groundhog Day premise about a family of four - the mom is caught up in her own life and missing all that is going on around her with her kids and then he...

Blogging, why?

My brother started a blog.

My cousins started  blogs.

My best friend started a blog.

My husband started a blog.

My husband quit his blog.

I started a blog.

I quit my blog.

I started my blog again.

I started a cooking blog.

I started a photography blog.

I quit my cooking blog.

I quit my photography blog.

I started this blog.

I blog because I love documenting our lives.

I blog because I am reminded of my blessings each time I write about them.

I blog so I won’t forget.

I blog because I just might share something that will help someone else.

I blog so that I can grow.

I blog just in case there isn’t a tomorrow, and my family can remember.

I blog to share my love for God.

I blog to maintain a balance and walk away from work at the end of the day.

I blog for the friendships that I have made through comments on my blog and commenting on their blogs.

I blog for the friends I have made at blogging conferences.

I blog for me.

I blog for my family.

I blog for you.

If you are a blogger, why do you blog?

I can relate to all of the reasons on your list. You said it exactly right.

P.S. I didn’t know that you previously had a cooking blog and a photography blog! You are a woman of many skills (and many secrets). 😉

I think I blog for the same reason many people do. I’m getting more and more forgetful as my kids get busier and I’m a faster typer than I am writer. I love that there is an extra copy out there of life and pictures in case there is an emergency.

Those are all great reasons for blogging.

I love the community and the chances to meet such amazing people along the way.

  • I agree with you 100%. I hope you’re coming to Bloggy Bootcamp!
