Meet Amy

I have struggled with the answer when asked, "What do you do?" and it isn't work-related. Ultimately, we settled on that I find things and untangle things. But I also read (a lot), pretend to wake surf, and watch Hallmark films.

The Weekend Away
it was amazing
So so good! Orla and Kate are long-time best friends off on a girls' weekend away. Kate is a bit of a player who is trying to get back at her soon-to-be-ex, causing her to spend frivolously and do drugs and hook-ups. Orla is a new mom ex...

Maybe Next Time
really liked it
Parts were a screaming 5 and parts were like “what?” And just irritated me. It is a Groundhog Day premise about a family of four - the mom is caught up in her own life and missing all that is going on around her with her kids and then he...

I Heart Faces – Sunglasses

This is one of those pictures that I wonder if I should have edited a bit more than a tight crop.  What do you think?  Would it be more fun with texture or muted tones?  I’m not often one to “photoshop” much, but I’m curious to know if you think I should.

I LOVE the way you cropped it. It showcases HER! Now if you were wanting it to be an image about where you were, then I’d back it up a bit. You can always show that with another image with it, as well… I love how the colors pop and the depth of field. She IS adorable!! ;D

  • Hi! Thanks for helping me not feel like a loser- I’m catching up on 31DBB and just posted to day 25, and saw that I wasn’t the only one. 🙂

I love the photo, and avoid Photoshop unless I must must must use it. I LOVE Picnik- have you tried it? It’s a great alternative because you can do so much so quickly and you don’t have to understand layers or selecting- very intuitive.

Have a great day! Love your blog!

  • So cute … but I do think the brightness of the vest detracts from the super cute sunglasses a little!!

  • This is such a sweet photo! I found you through the 31DBBB challenge forum and I’m so happy to have found a fellow photographer! 🙂

I know how you feel about editing but I agree with everyone else I think it is adorable how it is.

    Love the shades!

She’s adorable! I often wonder the same thing about my pictures….should I edit more or less? Should I crop differently? Sometimes it’s nice to leave them relatively untouched. The attitude in the picture speaks for itself!

  • I love it the way it is! She is such a cutie!!
