Hubby and boys are in the Uintas by Mirror Lake right now!! LOL!! We do have a trailer though, so I guess we cheat. For me, it’s the only way to camp… comfortable, anyway. ;D

Sounds like you still have the desire to go camping so I think you can still call yourselves campers. Our boys have a tent and sleeping bags, but so far we’ve only camped out indoors. Hoping to try it outside soon!

I camped a LOT when I was growing up. The last time I camped was when my oldest (now 11) wasn’t even 18 months old. For me, at this stage of my life, camping is simply: going outside to do four times the work. Some day . . .

I think you can still call yourselves campers considering you’ve gone camping more times since your kids were born than I have in my entire life! And at least you have all the gear. I have an air-mattress and thats all…the last time my husband and I went camping we had to borrow a tent b/c there wasn’t really any use in buying one since we knew it do nothing but collect dust after that one use! So yeah, I’d still think you were “campers”.

Visiting from the Writers Workshop ..I’ve been camping a few times over the years but living in Florida the window of when it is not too hot is very small…I’d love to try camping someplace else..like the mountains or some of the places in your pictures!

You can still call yourselves “campers”, you just don’t go camping quite as often as you’d like. I can see it being harder to camp once kids are in the picture! It sounds like something you and your husband really enjoyed; maybe you can start going more often when the kids are a little older?
