Meet Amy

I have struggled with the answer when asked, "What do you do?" and it isn't work-related. Ultimately, we settled on that I find things and untangle things. But I also read (a lot), pretend to wake surf, and watch Hallmark films.

The Weekend Away
it was amazing
So so good! Orla and Kate are long-time best friends off on a girls' weekend away. Kate is a bit of a player who is trying to get back at her soon-to-be-ex, causing her to spend frivolously and do drugs and hook-ups. Orla is a new mom ex...

Maybe Next Time
really liked it
Parts were a screaming 5 and parts were like “what?” And just irritated me. It is a Groundhog Day premise about a family of four - the mom is caught up in her own life and missing all that is going on around her with her kids and then he...

The Last Week of School

We have had a really busy week. But it has been a great week. Here are a slew of pictures to show what our week has been…

Jade had her dance festival.  She had a great time and was pretty funny doing her Aztec dance.  I love that she is not the only one with her tongue out.

Jade had a fantastic gym meet.  She scored a 36.6 and she wasn’t happy with her score on the floor or the vault.

Monday was the day that Utah had their latest snow storm in history.

Tuesday we had dress rehearsals for the Spring Recital.  One of Jade’s costumes was an 80’s costume.

Ivy was a Lady Bug for one of her dances.  Some of the other girls were Bumblebees.  They were very cute little bugs.

Jade had her field day on Wednesday.  I swung by for a minute and took a few pictures.  She had a blast.

Ivy loved watching the other dancers preform on the big screen monitor in the greenroom.  The recital was wonderful.  They all did such a great job.

Today was a really good day.  It started out with a CT scan.  Which never sounds like a good thing, but all was well.  See, about 2 months ago Ivy took a picture of me and it caused some concern.

My face was lopsided and my jaw was bigger on the left than the right.   Today they ruled out a tumor.  They aren’t sure what it is, but as long it isn’t cancer, I’m alright.  Then I got to go to lunch with Melissa.  After lunch I got my hair cut and colored.  I went really dark.  So far Jade doesn’t love it, actually she doesn’t like it at all.  But I think it is kind of fun.

The day ended with the GNO at the Casual Bloggers Conference.  I helped Melissa and her Basa Body friends with their event.  Mel and I handed out the pillows that were donated.  It was so fun getting to meet so many of the bloggers I have admired for quite some time.  One of which was LOLLI from Better in Bulk. I link to her every single Friday for “Give Me You Best Shot” and absolutely adore her.  After meeting her, I adore her even more.

Also, swing by Photo Story Friday with Cecily.

Oh no! I wish I would have read your update before talking with you at the CBC! I feel bad talking about me while the whole time you have your own concerns going on! I hope all works out with the testing!
By the way, you are just as gorgeous in real life as you are in your pics! So fun to get to know you these past couple of days!
